I've already made an appreciation post some months back, but that was when I was first getting to know these guys. There's been a lot that's happened since then, and it's been a great time watching the friendship grow. Now without further ado, lemme glaze my homies
Xaya
First of all, Xaya is responsible for the creation of my avatar I guess online. I told them "hey, could you make pixel art of Captain Bones from Crashbox smoking a joint in a comfy chair?" and they delivered. You can see my skeleboy on the home page of my blog.
Absolutely amazing pixel artist, and my third favorite penguin.
Ava
I make the joke quite frequently that Ava, and formerly Cris too, was my handler. She is my HR department. On top of that, I am also sorry that I think Suliman, Mono, and I all make her question her sanity sometimes.
Before Cris logged off permanently(?) he asked us who should be the new server owner. I immediately thought Ava would be the best fit for this, as much as she probably didn't want it.
Since then, the discord server has grown and thrived, more than I thought it ever would when I had first joined.
Kami
I've said it before, and I'll say it again, Kami is the technological backbone of the server. She just launched a beta for a guestbook service to rival all the other services I've ever used. And it's pretty kick ass (go check out mine if you wanna see it in action).
I feel if you left Kami for too long in a box with a lenovo thinkpad, she'd probably write her next blog saying "hiya, so I just blew up the moon"
I always love seeing her coding snippets and all the other projects.
Suliman
Suliman has a stranglehold on GIFs I have only ever seen gay men use, I will not elaborate further. If the conversation completely derails the prime suspect is usually Suliman, Mono, and I.
A really funny guy that also throws up memes that make me feel like I have to alt-tab to be sure nobody sees it and thinks "what the fuck is Pirate looking at?"
Mono
I'm like 85% positive Mono has a maid outfit in his closet. That being said, I always get to laughing when he'll say something completely innocent that ends up also sounding so ungodly lewd.
In the hall-of-fame channel, I'd say a majority of the pins are from Suliman waking up in a cold sweat, checking his laptop, finding the latest lewd thing Mono says in the server and speedruns slamming it into the channel.
I also got him to change his pfp to some complete shitpost, which I find fits him more. Googie > Jiji.
Ivan
Ivana brings some of the best energy, whether in chat or VC. They're also responsible for the pirate teddy bear that used to be on my home page before I switched it to Captain Bones (finding another place for Teddy Chan).
So, on top of being one of the people who can routinely have me cackling like a maniac, also being a kickass 3D artist.
psycheoma
I've had the pleasure of feeling the ADHD pinball that happens when Psyche and I are in a VC. Though not often I find him there, it's always a fun time.
Also the other freak in the server besides Suliman, Mono, and I.
Winther
While one of the lesser-active on the server, every now and then he comes in and drops a one liner that has be cackling. Just a cool dude all around.
In closing...
It's been a fun time getting to know these guys, collaborating with them, laughing with them. I always hoped I'd find a community on the indieweb, and I believe I did. And I couldn't have asked for more solid dudes to be hanging out with in cyberspace.

as of writing this...
I'm recovering from being sick. My daughter has been sick for the past couple days and the Black Plague finally came for me. It started to set in while I was attending Symphony of Seasons (an orchestra playing the Stardew Valley soundtrack) and it was an amazing time, but towards the end I was like "shit, I need to go home and house some medicine". Spent most of the day trying to get better, and I think I have.
I learned from my best friend from AZ that you can apparently order a giant bucket of Zuppa Toscana from Olive Garden if you order off their catering menu... so I did. I now have a giant tub of Toscana ready for me to devour for lunch tomorrow. Feeds 6? Nah, feeds 1 dude with autism.
Gonna be seeing Iron Lung in theaters tomorrow and I'm stoked as hell, I've been looking forward to this movie since Markiplier dropped the teaser for it.
