i too got a "dumb" watch
So my friend Mono decided to get himself a dumb watch. I had been wanting a simple, minimalist digital watch for a while now, but hadn't quite figured out which one I wanted. After seeing some videos he had posted to our group chat I decided to finally make the jump. I went with this one:

I used to wear watches quite often, most of them were inherited from my dad, though I could only wear like 2 of them because they were either way too big or needed maintenance.
Most of the watches I wore were smartwatches. My first one was a Samsung galaxy watch that I stopped using when I switched to an Apple watch. I stopped wearing the Apple watch because I started to adopt the philosophy of "I don't need smart EVERYTHING".
I basically went the next couple years never wearing a watch. I tend to not wear a lot of accessories anyway as they tend to annoy me. However, I really wanted a handy wrist watch so that I wouldn't have to keep pulling my phone out of my pocket.
I REALLY wanted one that looked like the one Venom Snake had in MGS V: The Phantom Pain, but the promotional one is like several thousands of dollars. I might get a copycat in the future, but for now I'm just getting used to wearing watches again regularly.
Like Mono, this isn't really meant to be productive. I just like being able to have the slight QoL change. Another "dumb" device (I really wish there was a better slang for these type of devices) added to my arsenal!
