Knowember+
So, Robert Birming started a fun little trend on Bear, Knowember. For as much crap as I give Birming, ol' Bobby started a trend that I can't Ba-Humbug about. I thought it would be fun to join in on.
I wanted to go a bit further on the subject and adding onto what Robert had put in for the trend. If the point is to get to know the problem between the chair and the keyboard, I may as well give some actual info about myself.
So, here we go...

Above is an image of my avatar. Not wanting to doxx myself, I'm opting for this. My avatar is Captain Bones from the HBO kid's show Crashbox that I used to watch all the time as a kid. Being that I'm Absurd Pirate, it made sense to make him my avatar. it's either him or Pirate Robbie Rotten. But given that the joint-smoking pirate on the home page of my blog is the skele-boy, I figured it was more apt to add this.
Police Description
While I don't show my face on here, I'll give some details of what I look like and let you form the picture yourself.
I'm about 6'1-6'2. Short brown hair (on account that I had recently shaved my head about 2 months ago in solidarity with my Mom who's undergoing chemo), light brown eyes with a tinge of green in the center depending on lighting. I wear Buddy Holly-looking Ray-Bans. I'm considered one of the "bigger guys" whenever I enter a Jiu-Jitsu mat. Roughly 220lbs at about 17%bf if you can picture that. Basically a semi-muscular dad bod.
I tend to wear baggier clothes, often looking like I got ripped straight out of the 90s. I just think they're comfortable. Usually a band tee or a fun graphic tee. I tend to wear flannel when the weather gets cold.
Name
Absurd Pirate is what I go by on here. The absurd part comes from the Absurdist philosophy coined by Albert Camus that I most prescribe to. The Pirate part is just kinda been my handle in some fashion for most of my online life. It started with my Uncle's old gamertag on XBOX 360, AHandsomePirate. I just kinda took it on myself and added 'Pirate' to many online handles.
My IRL name will remain a secret on this blog. So, I'll just give you what a lot of my friends call me, J. Does it stand for Jacob? Jeremy? Guess we'll never know.
Where in the world I blog from
Good Ol' Mountain-West USA. Personally, I'd love to live in Washington, but Mountain America is good enough I suppose. Politically it sucks ass here, but it could be worse.
What my blog is mostly about
Kinda whatever I want to talk about in a given entry, really. Sometimes I'm talking about online trends I hear about, other times it's just personal gripes. I don't really have a set "theme". Just whatever interests me.
What do I do for fun?
I like to kick back, smoke a bit of weed, and play video games especially older games (I mostly play on Xbox 360). I also play several instruments (mostly guitar) and like to jam to songs or play around. I write on this blog. I enjoy reading. I love playing with my daughter, she keeps me active.
Likes/Dislikes
My favorite color is green. Favorite foods are zuppa toscana, pizza, tikka masala w/ rice, and tacos. Favorite drink is jasmine tea. I'm more of a cat person, but I still love dogs. My favorite bands are Green Day, System of a Down, and Linkin Park. My favorite games are Halo 2 & 3, Skyrim, Minecraft, Fallout: New Vegas.
I can't stand certain textures. I have no patience for the various -isms. I hate seams in socks so I wear them inside out. Sounds have a tendency to drive me up the wall. I find people who idolize politicians to be incredibly obtuse.
What am I like IRL
I tend to enjoy being by myself. I can be awkward around people that I can't 'read' super well (which being autistic, that can happen often). I try to be friendly and make people feel welcome. I enjoy making people laugh often at my own expense. I get told I give great hugs.
