Let's Not Throw a Party Just Yet
Woke is back on the menu, pronouns and free abortions all around! The democrats managed to pull it together and flip house and senate. There's reason to celebrate, but lets not get ahead of ourselves. We still have a lot of work to do.
In all of this, I think of the intro video for Left 4 Dead after the survivors escape a massive zombie swarm:
Louis: We made it! I can't believe we made it!
Bill: Son, we just crossed the street... Let's not throw a party 'til we're out of the city.
The democrats flipped house and senate, we just crossed the street. Let's not throw a party until Trump is out of office and MAGA can't rear it's ugly head again.
One of the reasons Trump won to begin with was how impotent the Democrats have been. The pressure needs to continued to be applied and the people who have been voted in need to be held to the fire.
I'm glad this country pulled its head out of its ass before it died of oxygen deprivation. We have a lot of work to do to undo the damage caused by the current administration. Don't let up on your local politicians, if they remain complacent they need to be ousted.
We're not out of the woods yet.
