Spread Hope
It's getting dark out there. Fascism is wanting to rear its ugly head, people are getting propagandized to hate each other, we're more stressed and neurotic than ever, shit is getting more expensive, and people are struggling to make ends meet. Instead of despair, I ask you to be a beacon of light in the dark. I want you to help spread hope.
Hope is found in the smallest of actions. It's found in when we help others without asking. It's when we open an ear and lend a hand. It's feeding and giving to people who have far less than you. It's being a friend. It's volunteering when and where you can. It's helping the sick, the elderly, the young, the frightened.
I do not say this like it is easy. It's far easier to ignore everything and turn a blind eye to the suffering, but you cannot hide from it forever. So what will you do? Succumb, or embrace your fellow sufferers?

I have applied to become a court appointed special advocate for children. I've been putting it off due to time constraints, but I'm in a spot now where I can dedicate the time. Going to a funeral for my wife's grandfather this weekend, we weren't particularly close for a plethora of reasons, so we're mostly showing up to support my MIL.
