What I Would Tell My Past Self
- Stop taking advice from people who are just trying to sell you something. They do not care about you.
- About that whole "I'm never getting married" thing, you are now happily married and have a happy and beautiful baby girl.
- Get an iPod, that shit is awesome
- You have ADHD, get on welbutrin, avoid stimulants. Those work, but the side effects blow. It'll help you out a ton.
- Be prepared for when the pandemic hits in 2020
- Invest in bitcoin
- Stop worrying about "growing up" and "doing more", it'll just leave you burned out and unhappy
- Green Day goes on tour in 2024, save your money to get pit access, it'll be the best concert you've ever been to
- Stop following style advice from those men's fashion channels, it kills your self expression.
- For the love of GOD do NOT sell your Halo Special Edition XBOX because some influencer tried to convince you gaming is for losers. You just end up rebuying it anyway. Keep your eyes open for the Insignia project, it's amazing.
- Stop wasting your time reading self-help books, just read philosophy. Self-help books are just derivatives of philosophy
- Don't study CS, the job market will suck, and you hate corporate culture. Start studying to become a therapist.
- Start getting rid of social media, you'll thank me later
- You get really clingy in relationships, stop it. Take relationships snail-pace slow.
- Start looking into CDs/Vinyls, that shit is awesome.
- When you eventually get rid of Dad's car, do NOT go for the sentra, go for an old civic or corolla you'll like it a lot more. Watch the first 3 Fast and the Furious movies and you'll understand what I mean.
- You're a good dad
- You REALLY like the drums
- Its okay if you feel like you're behind. Most people do. You may be surprised how ahead you actually are
- Dad would be proud
