Yapping About My Life #1
Ahoy there!
This post is basically a longer version of my "as of writing this". Just a bit broader, giving life updates, what I'm engaging in, all that.
Been on a MASSIVE Skyrim bender. I've been wanting to get all the achievements on Special Edition, and was struggling to stay consistent with my joke characters, Slaps-His-Nuts and J'zstain. So I decided to recreate the first character I ever made in Skyrim and try and retrace his steps to an extent. When I first got into Elder Scrolls, my uncle handed me a copy of Oblivion and told me I had to beat the main quest before I could play Skyrim. So I made my Imperial Spellsword AEschere. I had just read Beowulf in middle school and after hearing the name it kinda stuck with me. When I got into Skyrim for the first time I just carried him over, but only got to level 20-ish on him before remaking him as a Nord which fits the name better imo. That character got all the way up to level 250+ and was the character I played when the DLCs released. So, I started a playthrough a little over a week ago and have been kinda hooked on the playthrough.
I won my weight loss bet with my Mother-in-Law yesterday. We made the bet like over a year ago to lose 30lbs, winner gets $30. Despite her trying twice as hard as me, I somehow came out on top. Thinking about it now, I feel like a bit of a dunce that it took me so long to achieve, but hey I got from 245 to 215! Looking back at pictures of me from my wedding, I can definitely tell I've dropped a considerable amount of weight.
I've applied to be a Court Appointed Special Advocate (CASA) for children and have my interview next week with training starting at the end of the summer. Basically what a CASA does is kinda like those big brother/sister programs in schools, but for kids in the foster care system. You work with a guardian ad litem and report on your visits. My wife's been doing it for a while, and she loves it and I feel like I'd be good at it. It'll give me experience when I transition to the mental health sector.
Got my wife stoned for the first time last week. It was kinda funny how giggly she got. Definitely would have given her a different strain as the one she tried was the couch-lock/munchies type. Need to get my hands on some Northern Lights, Sour Diesel, or Jack Herer.
Applied to my 4-year. Having gotten through my associates, I'm stoked to get started doing classes that apply to my major. Just need to send over my college transcripts. Why I need to pay for that shit I'll never understand.
Anyway, that's kinda the bulk of my life updates.
