fuck you and your "charity"

This post is going to be a bit of a rant, but after watching the latest video from Hannah Alonzo with my wife... boy do I have some shit to say.

Nothing against Hannah, this has more to do with the creator she covered in the video, as well as "charities".

The tl;dr of the video was a woman on tik tok posted a video of her doing what is called an "angel tree" (i.e. buying gifts for children in need who's parents applied to be on the program, with the idea of shopping for the child(ren)'s Christmas list). The woman in the video half-assed the whole thing then got all defensive when people called her out.

I have some words...

First off, this is more addressed to the whole concept of angel trees. I have no issues with communities coming together to help families in need, what kind of socialist would I be if I was against it? What I do have an issue with is these BILLION dollar corporations who have the fucking GAL to ask ordinary people to do what THEY could easily do 1000x over for HALF the cost. These companies are actively PROFITING off of these charity drives.

The Waltons, the Bezoses, the Buffets, all of these greedy cock suckers deserve to have a brick thrown through their house with a note saying "Merry Christmas you filthy animal". Again, I have no issues with communities coming together to help their neighbors. I have a problem with these weasels with their billions of dollars guilt trip people into doing what they could've done. It's not a charity, it's just a tax write-off.

Secondly, to the wicked bitch of the west acting so inconvenienced to do something THEY signed up for and then half-assing it; I'm going to say this in the nicest way possible, get sodomized by a cactus you crusty bitch. Honestly, just watch the video and you'll see exactly what I'm talking about.

If you're going to do charity, don't half-ass it. It'd be like me going to a homeless person, asking them what they want to eat, having them say something like "fried chicken", and then bitching the whole time about it and getting them a 5-piece chicken nugget.

I understand the concept of "children should be grateful for what they have", BUT these are children who's family is at their lowest. Give these kids fucking SOMETHING to look forward to for fuck sake. And if I hear one complaint out of your mouth while you do a really EASY ass act of charity that YOU signed up for, I will fucking curb stomp you ON SITE.

I'm getting a little heated here, I'm aware. Just pisses me off that THIS is the world we live in.

My wife and I are going to make it a tradition to contribute to these angel trees. We had never heard of them prior to today. As much as I despise Wal-Mart for being the cheap fucks they are and having US buy the toys (and not even for cost like they could), that doesn't mean the children should be punished.

It was actually nice to see that most of the areas we looked for angel trees had pretty much their entire lists taken care of. We decided to take $100 worth of items off a list in Mississippi since we learned that is the poorest state in the US. So, I hope some kids get to have something to be excited about this year.

Maybe I'm bitter about this whole thing because I remember waking up to an empty Christmas tree on more than a few occasions. I'm in a position to make a difference, so I'm doing what I can. And you should too.

It doesn't have to be money, it can be time. Spending it at a shelter, a food drive, whatever. We all know the capitalist system sucks shit through a crazy straw, and we all know that community matters. So, do something about it.

That's all for me, I'm going the fuck to bed. Happy Holidays, and may no billionaire know peace this holiday season.
